The Gates-MacGinitie Reading Tests (GMRT) are researched-based, valid & reliable assessments that test a student's literacy skills from pre-reading to adult reading levels. The tests measure student knowledge in phonological awareness, phonics, comprehension, word decoding, word knowledge, & vocabulary. Two different forms are available, and both can be used to make instructional decisions, identify skill gaps, and view growth over time. The Levels 4, 5, and 6, Form S Norms Tables for Normative Update provides information on how to hand score the tests, how to use the norms, and the meaning of the scores. It also provides fall, winter, and spring norms tables.
