Beyond the Scores: Making Early Childhood Assessment Results Meaningful for Families and Educators
Beyond the Scores: Making Early Childhood Assessment Results Meaningful for Families and Educators
Assessment results are only valuable when families and educators understand what they mean for a child’s everyday life.
In this practical session, nationally certified school psychologist Amber Moore will share strategies for translating early childhood assessment findings into meaningful, functional language. Participants will explore how to connect developmental, cognitive, communication, adaptive, social-emotional, and play-based findings with real-life examples that resonate beyond standardized scores and scripted assessment tasks.
The session will also address considerations for supporting young learners with diverse developmental profiles, including nonspeaking autistic children transitioning from Early Intervention to preschool services. Attendees will leave with practical approaches for interpreting findings through a functional lens, communicating results meaningfully, and developing recommendations that are both family-centered and educationally relevant.
Continuing Education Credit:
Participants who attend majority of the live session will be eligible to receive CEUs. Additional details regarding CE credit requirements and documentation will be provided during the webinar
