From Theory to Practice: Using Modern CHC to Drive Meaningful Evaluations (Part 3)

From Theory to Practice: Using Modern CHC to Drive Meaningful Evaluations (Part 3)

    Thursday, February 5th, 2026 | 11:00 CST

Are you looking to move beyond simple scores and deliver deeper insights in your clinical evaluations? Join us for the third installment of our series, where we explore the practical application of modern Cattell-Horn-Carroll (CHC) theory.

In this webinar, we go "behind the scores" to demonstrate how the Woodcock-Johnson (WJ) suite of assessments can be used to create more meaningful, individual-focused evaluations. We will transition from theoretical frameworks to real-world practice, providing you with the tools to drive better outcomes for those you serve.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Apply data-based decision making to identify student-specific, evidence-based interventions that are grounded in research and directly aligned with findings from a comprehensive evaluation to support improved student outcomes.
    2. Interpret Woodcock-Johnson V cognitive, achievement, and proficiency data to identify precise instructional targets and determine appropriate intervention intensity, translating evaluation results into defensible instructional and intervention decisions.
    3. Develop strength-based intervention plans that leverage individual student assets while addressing identified skill deficits, ensuring access to grade-level curriculum alongside targeted remediation of underlying learning needs.
