Hear From Your Peers: Using CogAT to Understand the Whole Student

Hear From Your Peers: Using CogAT to Understand the Whole Student

    March 26 | 2pm ET | 11am PT

See how Northwest ISD compares ability vs. achievement and uses CogAT beyond gifted identification to inform instruction, student supports, and course planning.

Many districts use CogAT primarily for gifted identification, but the insights go much further than that. Join Audra Rowell, Advanced Academics Coordinator at Northwest ISD, as she shares how her district uses CogAT ability data alongside achievement data to better understand student learning needs and guide instructional decisions.

This Webinar will explore how to:

    • Compare CogAT ability and achievement data to identify student learning needs
    • Use Ability Profiles (V–Q–N patterns) to understand students' strengths and where they may benefit from additional services or supports
    • Leverage ability profiles to inform student conversations and course planning during the transition from 5th to 6th grade.
